To the Guru manifested or unmanifested,
To the Guru acknowledged or unacknowledged,
To the words of a friend as the Guru,
To the bruises seen or unseen as the Guru,
To love bestowed or to the love which never was as the Guru,
To the knowledge printed on endless pages as the Guru,
To the confines of solitude or the sounds in a crowd as the Guru,
To the philosopher in robes or the orator in a suit as the Guru,
To the five elements in action or dissolving in those elements as the Guru,
To the Grace that becomes evident day in and out as the Guru,
To the body & mind in health or in distress as the Guru,
I salute thee for appearing to me,
I salute thee for sustaining me,
I salute thee for transforming into the guide that I need from the goal as You Are…
